Right race, wrong city

The event will bring in $75 million annually and is guaranteed for five years.

There will be an IndyCar race on Labor Day 2016. The three-day race weekend will be around the city's inner harbor and is guaranteed for the next five years.

City officials see it as a part of a major plan to attract other high-profile events. Conservative estimates are that it will bring in about $75 million to the city annually.

Only the city where all this will happen is Boston. Once again Boston can do what Baltimore could not.
