Cruz has no control

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz seems to think that making an ass of himself puts him on the road to the presidency ("Ted Cruz is the GOP's Barack Obama (And no, that's not a compliment)," Sept. 25). Admittedly, it does work on occasion, but not that often.

Like a small child throwing a tantrum, his position is, "Do what I want or I will wreck the economy and it will be your fault." He needs to go to his room for a time out. There is no possibility of his succeeding at his stated goal of defunding the Affordable Care Act, and his display of obstinacy is an embarrassment to his colleagues on both sides of the aisle.

It's a great country, and we are guaranteed the right to express our views no matter how unpopular. With this right should come some sense of responsibility, especially among those in positions of power. Senator Cruz takes advantage of these rights by acting like a petulant child.
