Reservoir (7-4 county, 15-6 overall – No. 2 seed Section I 3A East Region)

Worst Case: The late-season struggles, which led to Reservoir closing the year with three losses in its last five games, continue against Long Reach in the opening round of the playoffs. After beating the Lightning by just three points at home in the second regular-season meeting between the two, this time the close game swings in favor of the away team. The balance that has been the team’s greatest strength all season proves to be problematic as it takes three quarters to find who has the hot hand. By then, Long Reach has a lead it is able to hold on to down the stretch thanks to the being in the bonus most of the night and making its foul shots. Reservoir loses in the opening round of the playoffs for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
