Wilde Lake (8-3 county, 14-8 overall – No. 5 seed Section I 3A East Region)

Worst Case: The week off kills the momentum the team had following back-to-back lopsided victories to close the regular season. Even worse, the Wildecats mistakenly look past a Glenelg team it just defeated by 18 points and come out lethargic in the opening round game against the Gladiators. It all adds up to an early playoff exit for a team that was one of the county’s hottest teams down the stretch. Trea Keys is held in single-digits scoring for only the third time all season, while Marquis Bullett gets in foul trouble. The game is close, but Wilde Lake — a team that is 0-3 in games decided by three points or less this winter —falls short.
