Howard girls golf finishes off second straight undefeated season

The Howard girls golf team put the finishing touches on another undefeated season on Tuesday, cruising to a 71-17 victory over River Hill at Willow Springs.

Jacqueline Cherry led the way with 25 points, while fellow senior Alex Abrams was right behind her with 21 points. Logan Lurie (16 points) and Morgan Cooper (9) rounded out the team’s scoring.

For Cherry and Abrams their legacy of regular-season dominance includes just one loss (by one point against Wilde Lake in 2015) in their four seasons on varsity. Each of those four years the team has won at least a share of the county championship.
