7. (8) Marriotts Ridge (2-1-2 county, 2-3-3 overall)

After taking a rough loss against Century, the Mustangs got back on the field four days later and earned a 1-1 draw against a very good Centennial squad. Junior goalkeeper Emma Meininger (13 saves) had one of her best games of the season, making some terrific saves down the stretch to preserve the one-all stalemate. Sophomore Victoria Hensh continues to be an offensive threat for Marriotts Ridge and recorded another goal on the season, as she knocked in the game’s opening goal for the Mustangs off a free kick. Marriotts Ridge has been playing well as of late, especially in county. Since losing its opening league game against Reservoir, the Mustangs haven’t lost a contest, tying both the Eagles and Long Reach, while also getting wins over Wilde Lake and Oakland Mills. Up next: Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Hammond.
