5. (5) River Hill (3-2-1 county, 5-2-1 overall)

The Hawks offense exploded with 10 goals in the matter of two days, playing back-to-back games against Liberty and Oakland Mills. Although both opponents have combined for just one win and 13 losses overall this year it does not take away the fact that River Hill took care of its business. Its play on the field looked more cohesive in the matchup against the Lions, stringing good passes together that resulted in three goals in the game. Brigette Wang, Megan Chun and Adrian Zakel all recorded a score in the match, while Chun and Ashlee Hamer registered an assist. The Hawks followed up that win with a 7-0 rout of the visiting Scorpions. With two wins on the week it will give the Hawks confidence heading into a huge matchup with Atholton, who has yet to suffer a county loss. Up next: Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Atholton.
