Updated school closings and delays

5. (5) Centennial (11-7, 13-8)

The Eagles are playing some of their best basketball as of late, getting good production from a number of their players, including seniors Kewa Gray and Ally Driscoll. Centennial started the week with a loss against Howard, but bounced back with terrific showings against Atholton and Reservoir. Teams have started figuring out ways to stop the dynamic Kelly Simmons on the block, but Gray and Driscoll has stepped up in a major way with attention on the sophomore forward. The Eagles defense has stepped up as well. In their two wins this week, Centennial held the Raiders and Gators to some of its lowest scoring marks of the season. The Eagles defeated Atholton, 52-43 on Feb. 19 – giving the Raiders just their fourth loss of the year – and came back and beat Reservoir, 32-29 on Feb. 20.
