First Team: Emileigh Scott, Howard (senior, forward)

A second-team all-county selection last year, the senior captain seemed to play at her best during the biggest games. She was the Lions’ leading scorer in a tight 66-59 win over Atholton, scoring 21 points. Recorded a team-high 19 points in the road win against Long Reach and totaled 19 and 18 points in Howard’s playoffs games against Western and Catonsville, respectively, while scoring a season-high 23 points in a 52-44 victory against Reservoir.

Scott is a solid defender, and also has a variety of ways to beat you on the offensive end with her ability to get to the basket off the dribble or working in the post.

Scott led the Lions in points scored (259), while averaging 10.8 points per game, and was second on the team in rebounding (4.0), first in field goal percentage (57.2), second in free throw percentage (72.6), making 45 of 62 attempts, and also recorded about one steal and one assist per game.
