All-Defense: Devon Williams, Long Reach (senior, guard)

The four-year veteran was vital in the Lightning's success the past two seasons, especially on the defensive end.

Williams reads plays very well and is extremely active on the defensive side of the floor. She averaged 5.4 deflections per game, while also recording 3.3 steals a contest. All five starters for Long Reach averaged at least two steals per game this season and a big reason is because of Williams’ ability to get deflections off passes. There will be a large hole to fill next winter for the Lightning without Williams in the line up.

“She is a coaches dream,” said Lightning Coach Kelli Cofield. “She does everything I ask of her, especially on the defensive end. We are going to miss her more than anybody next year. We are coming back with a lot of horses in terms of our offensive horses, but we are going to be a totally different team without her on the court.”
