Jones played a lot of minutes for the Raiders this season and a big reason in that was because of her work on the defensive end. She guarded the opposition’s top guard and had the quickness to stick with anyone in the backcourt. She is a high-energy player and has a knack for reading passes across the floor. Jones averaged about three steals per game, and played a big role in starting Atholton’s fast break opportunities with her ability to cause turnovers on the defensive end.
“She did a lot for us overall, but the team feeds off of her,” said Atholton coach Julia Reynold. “We have her do a lot on both ends of the court.”
