3. (8) Wilde Lake (5-4, 6-8)

About two weeks ago, Wilde Lake was dead last in these rankings after losing four of its first five county games and starting the season 1-8 overall. The Wildecats haven't lost since, winning four league games and crushing Manchester Valley along the way. The pieces are finally fitting together for coach Deon Wingfield's squad, which now has a legitimate shot to challenge for the second spot in the county standings. Up next: at Atholton (Jan. 26).
