Every vote counts, so head to the polls on Tuesday

Don’t forget to exercise your God-given right and vote. Patriots have bled and died for this right. And don’t think that your vote won’t count. There have been countless examples over the last few years where one vote changed the outcome of an election. So, get out and vote!

The following Lime Kiln Middle School students who demonstrated their ability to “ROAR” by being responsible, respectful, and academically focused for the week ending Oct. 18 are: Dane Stamper, Evelyn Rose, Avery Oergel, Matthew Horton, Gabby Passamonti, Anton Doan, Brian Geary, Ella Davidson, and Amelia Rose. For the week ending Oct. 25, the students are: Alex Michos, Danica Takovich, Alanna Ro, Cameron Frey, Nate Jacob, Deborah Araujo, Alena Stokely, Dylan Martinez, and Ana Ortiz Martinez. The St. Francis Christmas Bazaar start on Friday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

This year, the big prizes are $2,000 in cash, a 55” Toshiba 4K Ultra HD Smart TV and an Echo Show.

There will be over 25 crafters and vendors, a huge silent auction, themed basket raffles, Jennie’s Gourmet Coffee Shop, and a bake sale. Hot dogs, hamburgers and other eats will be available along with an assortment of soft drinks, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

And I have it on good authority that Santa is planning on stopping by for a quick visit as he heads back to his workshop to finish getting ready for Christmas. Hope to see you there.

The River Hill Theatre Arts presents “Anne of Green Gables,” an adaptation of the novel written by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery. Set in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, it’s a story about an orphan girl who is adopted by an elderly set of sibling farmers. When the elder Matthew Cuthbert arrives at the train station to pick up his charge, he finds Anne Shirley, a red-haired, freckle-faced 11-year-old girl. Thus, begins the tale of Anne’s impact on the lives of those around her and the impact those around her had on Anne.
