Mark your calendar and turn on your porch light on Aug. 7 for the 35th Annual National Night Out. Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out in thousands of communities across the United States. The event was envisioned to help people make their “communities safer, more caring places to live.” From block parties and parades, to festivals and cookouts, community events bring neighbors together with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events and visits from emergency personnel. National Night Out seeks to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement.
