Two assaulted by group outside of Fulton bar

Two men were assaulted and one was robbed by a group of men outside of Looney's Pub in Fulton last week after an argument inside the pub escalated, according to Howard County Police.

Currently only one man, Michael Hadley, 37, of the 7300 block of Brangles Road in Sykesville, faces charges in the case.

Hadley was charged with second-degree assault, carjacking, two counts of theft and other charges.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, police said the two victims and a group of men were drinking inside the pub when they were kicked out by security after an argument escalated.

Once outside in the parking lot, the two victims were getting inside one of the victim's vehicles when Hadley opened the driver's side door, pulled the driver out of the vehicle and began assaulting him.

The other victim attempted to help his friend but was then assaulted by eight to 10 unknown men, according to the charging documents.

Police said while one victim was lying on the ground unconscious and the other was being assaulted by the group of men, Hadley drove away in the victim's Chrysler 300M.

When responding officers arrived, the vehicle was returned to the parking lot although the victim's keys and wallet, containing money and identification, were missing.

The victim assaulted by Hadley was taken to the hospital with lacerations to his hands and head, police said, while the other victim was sent home.
