Man in custody matches Howard County road rage suspect

As Howard County police investigate Monday morning's road rage incident near Howard High School, Harford County sheriff's deputies arrested a man last night in an unrelated case who they said matches the description of the shooter.

No charges have been filed as the man remains in custody. Howard police said they are investigating whether there is a link between the cases. Spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn said the public no longer needs to look for the vehicle involved in the incident.

Around 6:30 a.m. yesterday, officers were called to Route 108 near Phelps Luck Drive in Columbia after a man was reported driving erratically in a dark Chrysler 300 with chrome wheels. The man then pulled beside another car and fired a gun once into the driver's door.

No one was injured in what police are investigating as a road rage incident.

The man arrested in Harford County matches the Howard police's description as bald and muscular with tattoos on his face. He was armed and driving a Chrysler 300, police said.

Additional details will be released by Howard County police.
