Art exhibition

The Howard County Arts Council's fifth annual "Paint It! Ellicott City" exhibition showcasing work created by juried artists during a three-day plein-air paint-out will be on view through Friday, Aug. 22, at 8510 High Ridge Road. Soccer registration

The co-ed Elkridge Youth Organization fall soccer program is accepting registrations for ages 4-18. No tryouts are required, and all players receive substantial playing time. The Miller branch of the Howard County Public Library, 9421 Frederick Road, offers "Let's Get Together: English Conversation Club," a chance for those for whom English is a second language to practice speaking and understanding English in a group setting.
