Laurel man arrested in North Laurel break-in [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. Descriptions of perpetrators are included only when the description makes identification possible.

Savage/North Laurel

Overton Drive, 9600 block, 6:41 p.m. March 13. Entry gained to residence via unlocked door. Female victim saw man on second floor and yelled. Male victim found suspect in second floor closet. Suspect fled. Police apprehended suspect. Headphones and sunglasses stolen. Fard Muhammed Lucas, 27, of Earl Levy Court in Laurel charged with first-, third-and fourth-degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.

Ellicott City

Frederick Road, 9000 block, 9:46 p.m. March 16. Two unknown, masked men approached clerk inside 7-Eleven, threatened clerk with handgun. Cash, cigarettes stolen. Men fled store.

Old Annapolis Road, 8700 block, between 1 p.m. March 15 and 10:30 a.m. March 16. Entry gained to concession stand at Howard High School by prying window. Candy and soda stolen.


Patuxent Range Road, 8300 block, 3:48 p.m. March 15. Entry gained to Sun Bell by breaking window. Television stolen.

Holly Springs Lane, 7000 block, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. March 14. Entry gained to residence via unknown means. Jewelry, electronics and financial documents stolen. No forced entry found.

Red Jacket Way, 8000 block, between 3 p.m. March 10 and 4 p.m. March 11. Silver 1998 Honda Civic stolen.
