Security spots man exposing himself at Columbia pool [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. The Columbia Flier includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.

A security officer observed a man exposing himself while sitting on the balcony of a stairway overlooking a community pool located in the 7600 block of Monarch Mills Way. The man was talking on his cell phone while exposing himself. When confronted by security, the man fled.

East Columbia

Thomas Edison Drive, 7100 block, 2:46 p.m. Aug. 11. Officers responded for indecent exposure. Man was observed naked, bathing himself with garden hose. Man fled in silver SUV.

Jamina Downs, 6000 block, between 9 p.m. Aug. 6 and 8:45 a.m. Aug. 7. Garage door left open overnight. Two mountain bikes stolen. Vehicle in garage rummaged through. Nothing taken.

West Columbia

The Bridle Path, 5400 block, between 12:15 p.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 6. Rear sliding glass door broken. Laptop and iPad stolen.

Dawn Marie Court, 5100 block, between July 11 and Aug. 7. Rear sliding door broken with rock. Electronic gaming system stolen.
