Laurel couple robbed at gunpoint in Main Street home

Three Laurel men were charged this week in connection with the robbery of a Laurel couple at gunpoint inside their Main Street home, according to Laurel Police.

Timothy Sean Hamilton, 21, of the 3600 block of Fort Meade Road; Daniel Magana-Games, 18, of the 15700 block of Haynes Road; and Leonard Starks, 20, of the 3600 block of Fort Meade Road, were charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, assault and theft, police said.

At approximately 9:52 a.m. Sunday, police said they responded to the 300 block of Main Street for a home invasion where a married couple reported they had been robbed by three men with guns.

Police said the couple said the men barged into their home, bound the wife, who was the only one in the house at the time, and demanded money.

Police said the robbery was interrupted when the husband returned home and confronted the robbers. The armed men fled after a brief struggle, taking with them a lock box containing several thousand dollars, according to police.

A Laurel police officer was patrolling the area immediately after the robbery and located a man carrying the lockbox. The man was pursued and apprehended, which led to the arrest of the other two men, police said.
