Three people were injured when a van crashed into the Firestone Tire Center in the 700 block of Belair Road in Bel Air late Saturday morning, according to Bel Air Police.

Bel Air Police reported the driver of the van, Thomas Roper, of Edgewood, and two people inside the building when it was struck, Jan Wilson and Ricky Richards, both of Bel Air, were injured in the accident that was reported at 11:23 a.m.

Wilson, who was the most seriously injured of the three people hurt in the accident, was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. She and Richards, who was initially taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air before being transferred to Johns Hopkins Bayview, were inside the building when it was hit, according to Bel Air Police. The driver of the van, Roper, was also taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

All three were released from the hospital later Saturday.

Bel Air Police officers and members of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company gave aid to those who were injured and secured the scene. Harford County Sheriff's Office and Maryland State Police provided traffic control and additional support.

None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening, according to Bel Air Police.

Building inspectors from Harford County and the Town of Bel Air responded to inspect the building.
