Disc golf event set for April 21

The Scarboro Hills Disc Golf Club is hosting its second annual "Let's Throw Together" Doubles Disc Golf Tournament to benefit the Arthritis Foundation and the Scarboro Hills Disc Golf Club.

The event is a charity doubles disc golf tournament set for April 21. Bring your own partner in best shot style of play.

Both players throw from each lie (starting with the tee shot), and then the team chooses which of the resulting lies to continue play from, until the hole is completed.

Aside from the standard golf payouts for the lowest scores, there will be prizes for the top three teams that raise the most money for the Arthritis Foundation. Every team is strongly encouraged to match their registration fees with donations to the Arthritis Foundation.

This event is open to all ages, genders and skill levels, particularly for people new to the sport and for people inflicted with arthritis and their families. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. People who want to donate but not play can visit the donation link on the website, http://scarborohills.com. People who do want to play can visit http://scarborohills.com/Registration.html.

The three divisions are Gold, (experienced players); Silver (less experienced players/beginners); and Family (spouses, parent/child, siblings, aunt/uncle and niece/nephew tandems, etc.). Cost is $50 per team.
