Editor:
Thank you for your support, it is an honor and a privilege to serve you in Annapolis.
I enjoy being your Delegate despite the injury that sometimes comes along with holding office, and since it is my duty to fight for you I'm committed to do so. What I like best about being a Delegate is my ability to help constituents here at home (the fictitious gossip is less desirable).
In the real world, I had a busy summer speaking at high schools and attending grand openings and community meetings. We were thrilled to give out 30 scholarships. I spent time on the Aberdeen base welcoming the troops back and seeing them off. As an Army veteran it was the highlight of my summer. I was happy to help constituents deal with a spectrum of issues, from zoning to barking dogs.
Summer wasn't all work, however, I was able to purchase a used crab boat, take my Mother crabbing, we caught a nice-sized bushel and enjoyed them with my family.
I planted a large garden with about 40 tomato plants; my Mother and I had fun canning them together. My brother talked me into taking a cat, Tiger, who seems grateful for a second chance (she was on his way to the pound). After several months of socializing, Tiger and my dog Sasha are able to live in the same house without much conflict.
Thank you again. I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year!
