Harford Contractors honor 2011 scholarship recipients

The annual Harford County Contractors Association's reception to honor the organization's 2011 scholarship recipients was held Aug. 18 at the Main Street Tower Restaurant in Bel Air.

This year's 13 scholarship recipients are:

Meghan Cochran - sophomore UMBC - major Emergency Health Services;

Amy Dykes - Harford Community College - major Elementary Education;

Matthew Hoffman - sophomore York Technical Institute - major Computer System Specialist;

Grace Marconi - junior Loyola University Maryland - major Classical Civilizations;

Justin Miner - freshman UMBC - major Computer Engineering;

Arielle Placke - junior Penn State University - major Biology;

Emma Prince - junior Towson University - major Athletic Training;

Eric Shifflett - junior Stevenson University - major Criminal Justice;

Cole Simon - sophomore Harford Community College - major Music;

Kaci Starkloff - sophomore James Madison University - major Kinesiology;

Sarah Walsh - graduated from Kennard-Dale H.S. in 2011, going to Millersville University - English major;

Jenna Weyant - graduated from Fallston H.S. in 2011, going to Longwood University - business major;

Alexis Wimer - Junior Messiah College - Political Science major.
