A woman working at a KFC restaurant in Edgewood Saturday night was stabbed during a robbery as the restaurant was closing.
Police, who said they believe at least two men were involved, had not made any arrests in connection with the crime as of Tuesday evening.
Around 10: 45 p.m. Saturday, Harford County sheriff's deputies were called to the KFC in the 2000 block of Pulaski Highway for a report of a robbery. When they arrived, deputies found a woman behind the counter who hand been stabbed in the shoulder.
Deputies quickly secured the area and rendered first aid until medical personnel arrived. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She had been released from the hospital by Tuesday evening, according to the investigators handling the case.
Police determined three employees were beginning to clean up and close the restaurant. As one of the employees was locking the door, two suspects forced their way inside in an attempt to rob the store.
One of the robbers stabbed the female employee in the left shoulder, before both suspects fled the store on foot without obtaining any cash.
The man who stabbed the woman is described as a dark skinned black man with long corn rows who was wearing a dark, long-sleeve top (possibly a hooded sweatshirt), dark jeans, a dark blue New York Yankees baseball hat and black sunglasses. Police said he was armed with a large knife.
The second robber is described as a black man wearing all dark clothing with a black mask concealing the lower half of his face. Police said he was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
