Four Harford tennis players win region titles

Four Harford County high school tennis players will be part of the Maryland State Tennis Tournament this Friday and Saturday on the courts at the University of Maryland in College Park.

The four, Bobby Frantz, of C. Milton Wright; Rachel Holehouse, of Fallston; and the mixed doubles team of Holly Nauman and Robin Lee, of Bel Air; each won Region VII tennis titles over the weekend at sites in Carroll County to earn the berths into the state tourney.

The region titles followed up UCBAC titles won the previous week in Cecil County.

Frantz won the boys singles titles and Holehouse won the girls singles title. Nauman and Lee won the mixed doubles title.

In addition, other 2011 UCBAC champions were Fallston's Anna Holehouse and Kelly Mattingly in girls doubles; and CMW's Corey Blanton and Greg Caspero in boys doubles.
