Food and fun are on the menu at Freddie’s Bar and Grill in Bel Air, and that’s just what kids want to order. The main dish, of course, is the giant outdoor pirate ship beckoning young diners to come aboard and yo-ho-ho as loud as they want.
“We have a whole outside area designated for families,” says general manager Adam Horn. Freddie’s includes shaded tables and a menu for all ages. On fair-weather days, kids can be as loud as they want and their parents can keep a watchful eye while they enjoy their own meal. While there are plenty of grown-up entrées, mixed drinks and indoor TVs tuned to sports (this is a bar and grill, after all), a special children’s menu tempts younger diners with corn dogs, fried mac-n-cheese, junior-sized burgers and chicken planks (of course!). A kid’s meal includes an entrée, an ice cream sundae and a fruit-flavored iced drink. When Freddie’s has a holiday brunch or caters an event, the restaurant makes sure to offer plenty of appetizing food for kids as well.
