Police arrest suspect in Edgewood triple stabbing that killed girl, 15

Police arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a triple stabbing in Edgewood that left a 15-year-old girl dead.

Cpl. Warren Brooks of the Harford County Sheriff's Office said police arrested Ivan Enrique Molina Bustamante around 11 a.m. Sunday about 2 miles from the crime scene on Reider Court. Brooks said the crime does not appear to be random, although he could not release details about a possible motive.

Bustamante allegedly stabbed the girl to death and injured her twin sister and their mother in an attack at an Edgewood apartment about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

One of the sisters was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The girl's 39-year-old mother was in stable condition Sunday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, Brooks said. The other 15-year-old also was taken to Shock Trauma and was later released, police said.
