North Harford wrestles rare Monday dual meet and wins

Hawks put away Panthers with 10 wins

North Harford took advantage of a rare Monday dual meet to visit and beat Perryville, 58-24.

The Hawks were winners in 10 of 14 weight classes, including four by forfeit.

The match didn't start well for the Hawks when Perryville's Hunter Zacerous pinned Paul Johnson in 4:24 at 120 pounds.

The Hawks, however, won the next nine out of 10 bouts to grab control of the match. Dominic Barbara started the wins at 126, pinning Ben Buckless in 29 seconds. Will Sadowski followed at 132, pinning Jarrett Hunter in 1:11. Two more North Harford pins ensued: Austin Mitchell stopped Brady Krahn in 1:22 at 138 and Brayden Shue pinned Kris Campbell in 36 seconds at 145.

Perryville's second win came at 152, where Eugene Zacerous decked Keith Smith in 3:43, but that led to four consecutive forfeits for the Hawks. Earning the wins were Brian Griffin, 160; Brady Robbin, 170; Angelo Koulatsos, 182; and Greg Fiackos, 195.

The Hawks added a contested win at 220, with Patrick Lawrence pinning Andrew McCluskey in just 14 seconds.

Perryville added a win at 285 behind Aengus Vervier's 3:38 pin of Matt Johnson. The Panthers also won the 106 bout by forfeit to Ryan Berger and North Harford closed out the meet with Finn Bucci pin of Kole Dobash in 5:25 at 113.

Other Monday result

Harford Tech defeated visiting Joppatowne, 66-13. Results were not provided.

Bobcats beat Panthers

Bel Air won 10 bouts at Annapolis on Thursday and won, 51-15.

The Bobcats were awarded four wins by forfeit: Zach Alascio, 106; David Reagan, 113; Cameron Watts, 152; and Joe Cirillo, 220.

In contested bouts, Tyler Ham won by pin in 5:49 at 120, while Brady Stafford won 5-2 at 132. Liam Bowers added a 5-0 win at 138 and Ralph Massemei scored five points in a 5-2 win at 145.

The final two wins came by pin. Scott Miser, in 3:31, at 160 and Tom Gomez, in 1:06, at 195. Dakota Crawford took a 4-3 defeat at 285.

Eagles beat Tigers

Aberdeen also won Thursday, visiting and beating Rising Sun, 47-30.

The Eagles had another strong start, with Sean Davis (4:32) and C.J. Allen (20 seconds) pinning at 182 and 195, respectively. At 220, Rocko Hillhouse added a forfeit win for an 18-0 Aberdeen lead.

Following a double forfeit at 285, Rising Sun won three straight bouts by pin, knotting the score at 18 all.

A Dylan Morris forfeit at 126 put Aberdeen back ahead and at 132, Evan Smith added a third period for the Eagles.

Rising Sun answered with a pin at 138, but Aberdeen won three of the final four weight classes.

Jordan Stewart won by injury default at 145 and Chris Madera was a 17-2 technical fall winner at 152.

Ishmael Wright was the last winner at 170, by pin in 1:18.
