Changes made to big Bel Air-John Carroll sports weekend schedule

The Fall Athletic teams at Bel Air High School and the John Carroll School are preparing to play one another in the 2nd Annual Battle of Bel Air this weekend.

With the weather questionable for Friday and Saturday, several changes have been made to the scheduling. Below is the revised schedule.

On Friday, JV Boys’ Soccer will play at 3 p.m. at John Carroll’s Turf Field 1. JV FIeld Hockey will also play at 3 p.m. at John Carroll Turf Field 2. Both games are free admission.

The JV Girls’ Volleyball match will be played at 3:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at John Carroll with free admission.

Also at 3:30 p.m. JV Football will battle at Bel Air’s Bobcat Stadium. Admission is free.

JV Boys’ Volleyball will also be played at 3:30 p.m. with free admission in the Bel Air gymnasium.

JV Girls’ Soccer will play at 4:45 p.m. on John Carroll’s Turf Field 1 with free admission.

**Varsity Football will close out Friday’s action with a 7 p.m. game at Bobcat Stadium. Admission is $5.

**All fans will be asked to leave Bobcat Stadium at the conclusion of the JV Football game. Gates will open again at 6 p.m. for the Varsity game.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the varsity game at 2:30 p.m. in the Bobcat Stadium ticket booth. A pre-purchased ticket will allow fans quicker entrance into the stadium for the varsity football game.

Action resumes Saturday with a full slate of Varsity contests. Cross Country will get it started with a 9 a.m. race at the John Carroll campus. No admission costs.

Varsity Field Hockey will play at 10 a.m. in Bobcat Stadium with an $5 admission which is good for all day in stadium.

Varsity Boys’ Volleyball will also be played at 10 a.m. at Bel Air. Varsity Girls’ Volleyball will follow at noon. Both matches are free.

Varsity Boys’ Soccer will battle at noon as well at Bobcat Stadium and Varsity Girls’ Soccer will close out play at 2 p.m. at Bobcat Stadium.

At the conclusion of the Varsity Girls’ Soccer game there will be a presentation of the Commissioner’s Cup, which is given to the school with the most varsity wins on the weekend.
