Level fire company responds to report of small plane downed

The Level Volunteer Fire Company responded to a report of a small aircraft down in a field in the 3700 block of Aldino Road, not far from the Harford County Airport.

Harford County Fire & EMS spokeswoman Jennifer Chenworth said the plane was taking off from the airpark, had an engine failure and needed to make an emergency landing in the nearby field.

There were no injuries reported, although the aircraft sustained minor damage, Chenworth said. She was not sure how many people were on board or the type of aircraft.

The crash was reported at 8:42 a.m. Friday, according to the Harford County Fire & EMS official social media accounts.

The Level fire company was working to clear the scene.
