Judicial candidate Adkins-Tobin thanks the voters [Letter]

Editor:

I am writing to thank the voters of Harford County who came to the polls in support of my candidacy for Judge of the Circuit Court for Harford County.

I entered the race so that the people of Harford County could have a choice in selecting their judges, as the Maryland constitution allows.

I am pleased that so many voters reviewed my qualifications and legal experience and agreed that I am the right choice for Judge. I have over 30 years of legal experience, all of which has been in a courtroom involved with both criminal and civil cases.

I have been fully vetted and found to be qualified by the Governor's select Judicial Nominating Commission. I was recommended to Governor Hogan for appointment to the bench three times.

I dedicated the last 18 years of my legal career representing the people of Harford County as a prosecutor in the State's Attorney's Office. I prosecuted child abusers, domestic violence, juvenile offenders, violent criminals, drug dealers, murders and many other serious criminal matters, working with law enforcement to maintain the safety of the people of Harford County and to help keep this county a community where we want to live and raise our children and our families. I did so with fairness and integrity, and I ran my race the same way.

I look forward to continuing the race on Nov. 6 and to being elected by the people to serve as a Circuit Court Judge. I urge all voters to continue to exercise their right to vote; a right that is uniquely American.

Thank you again,

Diane Adkins-Tobin
