Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five

Dorothy Height

Civil rights and women's rights activist Dorothy Height gave the commencement speech at the University of Maryland, College Park in December 2002. Height had been a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. When she died in 2010, President Barack Obama called her "the godmother of the civil rights movement."
