Woman fatally stabbed, man shot to death in separate incidents in Baltimore

A woman was stabbed to death and man shot and killed in Baltimore in separate incidents early Saturday. Another man was seriously wounded late Friday in East Baltimore.

About 2 a.m. Saturday, officers found a woman with a stab wound to her chest inside a building on unit block of S. Stockton St. in the Hollins Market section of West Baltimore. The woman was treated at an area hospital, but she later died of her injuries, police said. Homicide detectives are investigating. The woman was identified as Patricia Lynn Harwood, 50, of Baltimore.

Just after midnight on Saturday, police found a man shot in the back in the 100 block of Denison St. in southwest Baltimore's Allendale neighborhood. The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police identified the victim as Eric Howard, 47, of Baltimore.

Police said Howard was sitting on his front porch when two men in a dark van pulled up and started shooting.

About 10:45 p.m. Friday, officers found a man shot in the stomach in the 2000 block of Kennedy Ave. in the East Baltimore Midway neighborhood. He was taken to an area hospital where he was lisited in critical condition Saturday morning.

Police said the man was shot nearby in 200 block of Robb St., but didn't provide additional details.
