Police: Two shot overnight in Baltimore

Two men were shot overnight in separate incidents in Baltimore, according to the city police.

On Thursday at about 1:40 a.m., officers went to the intersection of Bethune and Round Roads in the city’s Cherry Hill neighborhood for a shooting report, police said.

There, police said they found a 24-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim refused to cooperate with investigators and only gave his name, police said.

At about 2:17 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Payson Street for another shooting report, police said. There, they found a 41-year-old man with gunshot wounds to both arms.

Both men were taken to area hospitals for treatment, police said.

Additional information regarding suspects in these cases was not immediately available.

Police also identified the 23-year-old man who was fatally shot Wednesday in the 700 block of Linnard Street as Antoine Fritz.

Fritz took himself to a hospital lat about 11:30 a.m. with gunshot wounds to the torso, police said. He later died at the hospital, making him the 184th homicide victim in the city this year.

Those with more information about these incidents are asked to contact detectives at 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
