Three people were shot, one of them fatally, in Baltimore Wednesday afternoon and evening, police said.
The man killed was shot in the head in Franklin Square, police said. Officers were called at 5:24 p.m. to the first block of N. Carey St., where the man was found and taken to a hospital, police said. Despite medical efforts, the man was pronounced dead at 5:44 p.m. Homicide detectives are investigating. At about 8 p.m., a man was shot multiple times in the torso and hand in the 1700 block of Rutland Ave., near Rutland Elementary School in Broadway East, police said. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Eastern District detectives are investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2433.
In an earlier incident, at about 2:15 p.m., an 18-year-old man walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds to his arm and foot, and told police he was shot at Brunswick Street and Wilkens Avenue in Millhill.
