Four people were injured in shootings Saturday night in Baltimore, police said.
Late Saturday, a woman was shot in the back and a man suffered glass injuries to his eye after a shooting in Wilhelm Park.
An investigation revealed that the shooting occurred in the 2200 block of Washington Blvd., police said.
Southwest District patrol officers were called to a local hospital at 11:46 p.m. after a 34-year-old man walked in and said that his eye had been injured after gunfire broke out on Washington Boulevard. Doctors later determined that the man’s injury was caused by shattered glass and was not a bullet wound.
While officers were investigating that attack, police said, they learned from the Baltimore County Police Department that a second victim, a 26-year-old woman, said she’d been shot in the back on Washington Boulevard. That woman lives in Baltimore County.
Police also said that two men went to different local hospitals on Saturday night after being shot.
Officers from the Northern District were called to a hospital just after 6 p.m., where a 21-year-old man had gone after being shot in the groin. Police aren’t sure where the shooting occurred.
And shortly before 9 p.m., officers from the Southwest District were called to a hospital in Baltimore County, where a 38-year-old man was being treated for a gunshot wound in the thigh.
The man told police that was shot in the 2000 block of N. Forest Park Ave. in Franklintown, but officers couldn’t find a crime scene or any witnesses there.
Anyone with information about these shootings is encouraged to call city-wide shooting detectives at 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers.
