Man, 35, found shot in East Baltimore, police say

A 35-year-old man was found shot in the buttocks and thigh in East Baltimore before dawn Monday — injuries police later said were self-inflicted.

Officers were called at about 3:41 a.m. to the 600 block of North East Avenue in the Ellwood Park/Monument neighborhood, where they found the man with his injuries and called an ambulance to take him to a hospital, police said.

It’s not clear exactly where the shooting happened, “due to the victim being highly intoxicated and uncooperative,” police said.

Police also announced Monday morning that the victim shot two months ago in Central Park Heights has died.

Kevin Nixon, 36, of the 4000 block of Frederick Avenue in Irvington, was shot July 7 in the 3200 block of Spaulding Avenue, police said. He died Friday.

No phone number was listed for Nixon’s address.

Anyone with information about the killing can contact homicide detectives at 410-396-2100, Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup or text a tip to 443-902-4824.
