Man dies, 3 teens among 7 shot in Baltimore

At least seven people, including three juveniles, were shot in Baltimore Wednesday night, police said.

At least seven people, including three juveniles — a 13-year-old boy, a 15-year old boy and a 16-year-old girl — were shot in Baltimore Wednesday night, police said.

Officers were called at 10:13 p.m. to the 800 block of N. Glover St., in Madison-Eastend, where the three teenagers were found with nonfatal gunshot wounds.

Interim Commissioner Kevin Davis said police have no motive for the shooting but have been given information by the community that he hopes will lead detectives to the shooter or shooters. He said police "may be in a position tonight" to make an arrest.

As of Thursday morning, no arrests or motives had been announced.

The 13-year-old boy was shot in the chest, the 15-year-old was shot in the chest and shoulder, and the 16-year-old girl was shot in the leg, police said. All were taken to area hospitals, police said.

"It is certainly unacceptable for this community to see three teenagers being shot on a beautiful summer night like this," Davis said. "It's my impression that they've had enough."

Anyone with information on the incident or other shootings in the city may call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

"We can't catch this person or persons fast enough," he said.

Police are also investigating the city's 175th homicide.

Homicide detectives are investigating and anyone with information may call 410-396-2100.

Sixty more people have been killed in the city this year than at the same time last year. Police at this time last year were investigating 177 shootings, including 115 homicides.

A total of 347 people have been shot in the city this year. Wednesday's violence included a second triple shooting, police said.

Police reported that three men were shot around 10:21 p.m in the 2000 block of N. Forest Park Ave. in the Franklintown neighborhood. A 21-year-old man was shot in the foot, and a 29-year-old man was shot in the chest. They were both listed in stable condition, police said.
