Man, 33, shot dead overnight in East Baltimore

Baltimore police are investigating an overnight homicide in East Baltimore.

A 33-year-old man is dead after being shot multiple times overnight in East Baltimore.

Police said officers arrived just after midnight Sunday in the 2100 block of Kirk Avenue in the East Baltimore Midway neighborhood and found the man. Police said that medics pronounced the man dead at the scene, located just north of Greenwood Cemetery.

Homicide detectives are investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2100 or the anonymous Metro Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Police area also investigating a double-shooting from Sunday morning in East Baltimore — just a few blocks east of the overnight homicide.

Officers found two men shot in the 1600 block of Normal Avenue of the Darley Park neighborhood just before 11 a.m. Sunday. A 21-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, and a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg, police said. Both were taken to hospitals for treatment, and citywide shooting detectives are investigating.
