Police release video of suspect in brutal robbery in Upper Fells Point

Police released video footage of the man they say robbed and beat a woman Friday in Upper Fells Point

Police have released video footage of a man suspected in a brutal robbery that left an Upper Fells Point woman with a fractured skull.

Lauren Hayden, 31, was thrown to the ground by the robber and dragged through the street before he left with her purse early Friday.

On Wednesday, police released footage they said showed the robber. The video shows a man trying to buy something at a convenience store.

Hayden's mother, Kathy Hayden, said the attacker pulled her daughter through the street, fracturing her skull, leaving her with scrapes over her body, and a black eye.

The woman was walking home with a friend about 1:30 a.m. on the 1800 block of Bank St. when a man attacked her from behind.

Anyone who recognizes the man can call detectives at 410-396-2422.
