Maryland State Police helping investigate alleged child pornography video

The Maryland State Police are among law enforcement agencies nationwide investigating a video circulating on social media that appears to show an underage girl involved in a sex act.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force program in Maryland and other states are also involved in trying to find the origins of the video and identify the victim and perpetrator, according to a news release from the state police.

Police are asking people not to share the video because it is illegal. Anyone who receives the video should delete it and report it to the administrators of their internet service provider or whatever social media site they are using, police said.

Anyone with information should contact the Maryland State Police at 410-653-4200.
