Baltimore County police identify commercial burglary suspect

Baltimore County police are searching for a 48-year-old man charged in a series of burglaries targeting office buildings throughout the county. Authorities identified the suspect as Billy Evans, who frequents North Avenue in Baltimore,

Police said that he is a suspect in the April 3 break ins at two businesses on Frederick Road in Wilkens -- Step Well Podiatry and Advanced Hearing Centers, where electronic equipment, money and postage stamps were taken by someone who got inside by breaking windows.

Police said he also is a suepct in break-ins along the York Road corridor where five businesses were broken into since Dec. 6. Police said that in several cases, multiple suites were burglarized in office buildings, with entry gained by either breaking windows or prying open doors.

Money, checks and food were taken in many of the cases, police said. Authorities said they also have linked the suspect two other burglaries on Painters Mill Road and on Reisterstown Road.
