Multiple agencies responded after a truck rolled over on Md. 27 in Mount Airy on Monday, causing an oil leak on the road.
The incident involved a single vehicle and the driver was transported to the hospital with suspected minor injury, according to a news release on the official Facebook page of the Mount Airy police.
The call came at about 1 p.m. Monday, March 11 for a truck traveling north on Md. 27 that had rolled on the passenger side after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Damage to the tank resulted in an oil leak onto the roadway and shoulder area, according to the release.
The Mount Airy volunteer fire company, Maryland SHA, Maryland State Police and Morton's Towing & Recovery Inc. all responded. The Maryland Department of the Environment’s Emergency Response Team conducted a cleanup.
