Hampstead's West Street will be closed between Allstate Insurance and Towne Pride Interiors on Thursday, Nov. 29, as work continues on the town’s Main Street project.

BGE will provide a flagger, stationed at West Street, to allow traffic to travel south as necessary, according to a news release from the Town of Hampstead.

Questions can be directed to Dave Bartell, the project manager, at 443-639-2908.

The $25.6 million State Highway Administration project on Hampstead’s Main Street (Md. 30) began in August 2017. It will add sidewalks, improve stormwater drainage and improve traffic signals along Main Street and is expected to be complete by spring 2020.

At that time, the state will hand over maintenance and responsibility for the road to the town.
