District 2 town hall meeting to discuss North Carroll's future

Commissioner Richard Weaver will hold a District 2 town hall meeting this Wednesday.

The meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 will provide an opportunity for area residents to meet with the commissioner at the North Carroll Branch Library — to discuss topics including the North Carroll High School facility, NextGen911 and a possible charter school plan.

“We will be following up [on the meeting Commissioner Doug Howard, R-District 5, held]. We have people interested in a charter school, we sent a letter to the governor for the NextGen911,” he said.

“Plus we have a host of other topics. People might be interested in the Freedom Plan, Carroll Transit System, roads.”

There will also be time for a question-and-answer session with Weaver.

Additional information can be obtained by contacting Denise Hoover at 410-386-2043.
