Deadline approaching for citizen input on Carroll County public transportation

Residents have until Monday to submit feedback on a five-year update to the Carroll County Transit Development Plan.
As part of the transit needs analysis, the county is gathering opinions from Carroll County residents with a survey. Stakeholder outreach will also include surveys of current transit riders and major employers.
“Citizen feedback will be used to complete major tasks for the planning study including: an analysis of current services; an analysis of transit need based on demographics, land use, and stakeholder input; the development of options to consider for inclusion in the plan; and the draft and final versions of the TDP,” a county news release states.
The survey asks respondents about their experiences getting around the area, including with public transportation offered by the Carroll Transit System.
Paper versions of the survey are also available and can be picked up at: the Carroll County Government Main Office; Eldersburg, Finksburg, Mount Airy, North Carroll, Taneytown, and Westminster branches of the Carroll County Library; and the South Carroll, Taneytown and Westminster senior and community centers.
The TDP is a requirement of the Maryland Transit Administration, with the previous plan developed in 2013.
