Man dies in motorcycle accident in Essex

A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning when his bike crashed though a fence in Essex.

Police were called to the site of an accident in the 8400 block of Kelso Drive in Essex at 10 a.m., according to John Wachter, public information officer for the Baltimore County Police Department.

Upon arriving, officers found the victim lying in a field. He was already dead, Wachter said. After the driver apparently lost control of his motorcycle for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway, crashed through the fence, and ejected the rider.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is investigating the accident. Wachter said that the victim's name is being withheld until his relatives could be notified of the death.
