Several incidents, including one that occurred on Monday, prompted road closures during Tuesday morning's rush hour, according to the state Department of Transportation.
In Baltimore City, a single-vehicle crash on the inner loop of Interstate 695 prior to the on-ramp from Exit 1 has closed the right inner loop off-ramp lane at 8:32 a.m., DOT said.
Interstate 895 North in Baltimore City prior to the entrance from I-695 is closed due to structural damage. One of two northbound traffic lanes and one of two northbound shoulders are closed due to the incident, which was reported by DOT at 7:40 a.m.
DOT also reported a collision in Baltimore County on Transway Road at I-895 at 7:36 a.m. No additional information was given.
And the transportation department posted road closures on MD 45 South in Baltimore County due to an incident that occurred on Monday evening.
Emergency roadwork on MD 45 South at Burke Avenue has closed one of two southbound traffic lanes and the southbound traffic shoulders since 8:37 p.m. on Monday. The highway's center turn lanes are bi-directional, DOT said.
At 9:10 a.m., DOT reported that a Monday morning water main break on US 40 West at Joppa Road that had prompted road closures into Tuesday morning had been cleared.
The Maryland Transit Administration reported all trains and buses running on schedule at 9:13 a.m.
