Repairs to Circle Road bridge in Ruxton to begin Monday

Repairs to the bridge over Roland Run on Circle Road in the Ruxton area of Towson are expected to begin Monday, April 29 and could take around two weeks, Baltimore County Public Works announced Thursday.

In a statement, Public Works spokesman David Fidler said structural beams on the bridge will be replaced and patterns will be limited during construction.

On weekdays, the bridge will be limited to a single lane of traffic between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with an hour-long period from around 11 a.m. to noon when the bridge will be closed to all traffic. Heavy trucks will be prohibited from crossing the bridge during those periods.

At all other times, and throughout the weekend, the bridge will be open to normal traffic.

Because the bridge is the only way in and out of the Circle Road neighborhood off Ruxton Road, county officials said arrangements have been made by the county police and fire departments to provide emergency services while the bridge is closed.
